This is Carlton Tavern, in London's Kilburn neighborhood. It was built in 1921, and was the only building on the street to survive The Blitz. In 2015, its owners - a property developer wanting to build apartments - demolished it without permission or even basic permits. The building was just days away from becoming a historically protected building and the owners likely thought the government would just shrug and say "well, it's just a pile of bricks now, go ahead and build the flats!"
