Spotted a lovely homophone last night in my current read: "illusive" (deceptive) used for "elusive" (difficult to find). Had a double-take because there are cases where both are valid adjectives in context: in this case, the correct word was definitely "elusive".
My hunch is that this is a relatively rare confusion as "elusive" is the far more common word.
