I made a TikTok that received a lot of attention recently. Highlighting how women receive about 12-14 standard prenatal visits but are only met with 1 postpartum visit (for some offices, it’s even standard to do a phone call for postpartum checks.) and how that one standard visit, women are usually not even given the proper checks, resources or referrals. The comments were in shambles.

9 小時內	Bridgette bridgette_burton_	You know what I think is strange. That children’s hospitals don’t have at least one OB on staff for NICU moms. I left my hospital the day after my emergency c section to be with my premature baby and had no one that could look at me. Obviously I signed papers to leave but I was showing signs of preeclampsia and had no way to get more info because I couldn’t drive and was at the hospital with my baby. At least to have one OB to check in on moms if they need it.
