On her follow up visit, this concern was voiced. Diagnostic testing was done and turns out my dear friend had a rare and aggressive form of cervical cancer…..she did not reveal how sick she was to me, and in hindsight I feel she was attempting to protect me. She didn’t last much longer, but she refused to allow me to see her……we would talk on the phone, but she went through the “I don’t want people to see me like this” phase and I didn’t persist or insist.
