Its disappointing to see a collective silence from the people on my IG feed who would normally be posting stories of their cause and fervently back local groups even if the rhetoric borders extremist views. The actions of these people brought shame to your community, reinforcing stereotypes created by other racial/religious groups and extinguishing any hopes to be seen as a legitimate concern. Just silence, and pretending nothing happened while minorities like myself are discussing it.

I may have an uneasy and distrustful relationship with religion in general, but it does not hinder my judgement towards those who do. However, this incident and the subsequent actions taken could form a lasting effect of how people here view this community.
