Brooklyn Supreme, a Belgian stallion born in 1928, was one of the largest horses ever recorded. He stood 19.2 hands (198 cm) tall, weighed 3,200 lbs (1,451 kg), and had a girth of over 10 feet (3.05 m). His horseshoes required 30 inches (76 cm) of iron. Exhibited across the U.S., spectators paid 10 cents to see him. Though not the tallest, his immense weight made him a record-breaking giant until his passing in 1948.
