Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from annihilation at the hands of an official of the Achaemenid Empire. On a personal note, it is the Holidays where we also notice the absence of those who are now in heaven. Over the years, the grandparents have passed along with other relatives and friends. They may be gone, but they live on in memory.
