Same! It was quite a journey for me to get there, as well, and I usually try to find the common ground with the people that still believe that by pointing out that the best way to prevent abortion is not in the courtroom but by providing resources to the mother. Like you said, forced birth is always going to be cruel but most women who have abortions feel like it was their only choice and many (but never all) of the reasons they feel that way can be addressed by addressing poverty, childcare etc
