I’m thinking of getting pinking shears, should I invest in a pair or not? 🤔 SewingThreads

I love mine but I also only use them when I'm making clothes. Wendy do you regularly make?

What do you plan on using it for? Is it something that a pinking rotary blade can handle? Much more accuracy, no need to re-align for every few inches of cut. When it’s dull you buy a new blade that is more inexpensive than the shears themselves. (Coming from someone who actually splurged on Gingher Pinking Shears only to buy a pinking rotary blade that I’m much happier with)

I so seldom use mine, when I do I have to dust them off. I would not recommend buying a pair.

I use them for curves, easier to turn then.

Agree with what others have said— they’re great for trimming curved seams!

No. They typically are hard on my hands and so I never use them. I bought 2 pair, 2 different brands, and both make my hands ache.

I've used my pinking shears on fabric once and never again, they hurt my hands so much.
