A lot of times I find myself struggling with the idea of spending, what I feel like is an unnecessary purchase, money on myself and I’m pretty sure it’s because of my upbringing . I wasn’t dead poor but I wasn’t rich either. I came from a home where we learned to stretch portions. Clothes had to last at least half the school year and it was the same for shoes. You got one winter jacket and one bookbag, “you better not don’t lose them” my mother would say.
