What’s always worked better than therapy speak for me is just having someone say "Yeah I've felt that too."
There's so much healing and power in being reminded that whatever you’re feeling or going through is something that's a shared experience with other humans.
Because we don’t heal by trying to get rid of our wounds, we heal through meeting them with compassion and acceptance.
And when another person shows you’re not alone, it instantly triggers feelings of compassion & acceptance.
