The anti-Houston transplant dialogue really annoys me. People act like Houston isn’t the fourth largest city in America. Yes y’all, people are relocating to cities that have diverse markets and economies, “nice“ weather, a diverse population, and enjoyable social scenes. Houston fits all of those things and has for quite some time. It’s been growing for decades….What’s the issue??

Don’t let it bother you, honestly. I think most major cities go through it there’s anti-NYC, ATL, LA, Dallas, Miami, you name it. I watch people drag NYC daily. As long as a city is working for me, I don’t care what anyone else thinks unless they’re just spewing false narratives. That said, no city is above critique either.

Right the same people complaining don’t even contribute to the city, take the open jobs that are AVAILABLE but complain every day

In what universe is Houston weather “nice?” Like, have you been there in August, after a hurricane has come through, no power, 90 degrees outside and 100% humidity? Grew up there, spent the first 32 years of my life there. Those summers were killers.

Welcome to Houston, friend!! The weather is awesome as long you're not allergic to fire.

(Native Houstonian) its way to overcrowded. We literally don't have the infrastructure to support it. We are already at sea level. The more folks move here and the more housing built in and around Houston the more we literally sink. It's estimated that by 2050 Houston will have lots of surrounding areas underwater due to the weight and population. Not to mention that fact that we literally can't and don't enjoy going out because its beyond crowded to actually enjoy the things we grew up doing
