I can’t sleep. If Social Security payments suddenly stopped, what would you do? For 72 million of us, that’s not a thought experiment—it’s about survival. Rent, food, medication—gone in an instant. The fallout would be CATASTROPHIC. So here’s the real question: WHY would Trump do this? Who actually benefits? I’ve searched for an answer that makes sense. I can’t find one. Can you? Elder folks, disabled & ill workers were forced to continue careers late into life bc they had nothing to turn to.OVB introduced mandatory retirement age/SS.It gave older workers the opportunity to retire w/ dignity.Provided a safety net for disabled/ill.Opened door for younger workers to thrive boosting the overall economy. SS is great for the economy is a winning argument nobody makes.
