Why are we still having this discussion? Sometimes, I hate it here.

Reading tutor here: Audiobooks absolutely count as reading. Reading has several definitions, but all of them center around absorbing information of some sort. You can be a purist and declare it's only from printed materials, but that doesn't explain what you mean by "reading the room". Language evolves, society evolves, and our way to attain information has evolved.
