THIS is a big part of why medical care is such shit nowadays. When you have "unskilled labour" working the front desk at a medical office, the patients suffer. $14/hour is insulting for such a position. I'm convinced that the ONLY reason someone would be willing to accept such low pay in the medical field is the same reason someone would accept such low pay in the law enforcement field; b/c they enjoy the bullying & the power trip more than anything else.
