they kidnap people and keep them underwater, make contracts or curse them 🙃 they’re in all bodies of water and they will try to take you/your jewelry if you’re wearing it while swimming (esp gold). sometimes people disappear for years and come back with knowledge of healing and magic. they’re supposedly very nice to lonely children too
