A few years ago I switched to a Direct Primary Care practice. This gave me a doctor I could call or text, & a doc who was willing to diagnose me ‘officially’ w the conditions that 10 different specialists all said they knew I had but wouldn’t put in my chart - they just kept referring me onwards. I woke up today w a UTI & called my doc. He called back 3 mins later. ‘Do you need me to come pee in a cup?’ I asked. He said, ‘No, the best way to know if a woman has a UTI is to believe her. 🧵
