As a baby bookstagrammer can I make a quick plea? Book boxes/shops looking for reps; can you please put that you ARE looking for reps with over a certain number of followers. When you put "follower count doesn't matter" and then only take ones that have 3x the number I have, it kinda looks like the count does matter. And if it does, fine! It's your business! Do what you gotta do to get yourself out there! Just please stop saying the number doesnt matter if it does (it's ok!) :Steps off Soap Box:

But also - I think a lot of companies look more at engagement. They look if people are commenting, liking, and sharing from your profile. They want to see that you have relationships that will translate into business for them. Specifically for book boxes, they will look at the content you post, so if you post photos of books versus only content pushed out from PR companies.

So if you have 1k followers but only 10 likes, then it’s suspish BUT I go for quality and quantity of posts too. If you have 1k followers but only post once a week, then I’ll choose someone else x
