Over the past decade of road travel, I have formulated this theory that windshield cleaning stations predict how the county around them votes, and that the more murky and unkept the fluid, the more liberal the political outcomes.

In the past few weeks of traveling on the road between California and Washington, I have not seen any pristine windshield stations; not even in Central California and Southern Oregon, which have frequently voted red in recent years and usually have bright blue fluid resevoirs and well-kept squeegees/wipes at service stations. I'm curious whether my theory is currently holding up right now compared to historic outcomes in Arizona and Utah.

Probably has more to do with mass depression then politics.
