Despite the way we talk, I think it's obvious to that the majority of christian media and subcultural industry exists not "to" the world but as a place away "from" it. Yet it seems to me that the cultural separatism which fuels this is a dying belief in the church. So... what's next?

一天內	Allie Crummy alliecrummymusic	I agree with your observation, and I really don’t like separatism. My mindset is that the earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, so I’m inching more and more toward writing for a broader/mainstream/secular audience, while still bringing my authetic self, including my faith, into my songwriting. SO many themes are relatable across differing beliefs; I think that’s beautiful, and I want to lean in to that. (It’s tough though. The christianmusic algorithms are strong. 🌊)
