I think this thread completely misses a future where Meta Raybans or something similar turn into a dominant operating environment that allows one to bypass the Apple ecosystem entirely. Nothing lasts forever. While I’m insanely loyal to my iPhone and the iOS/MacOS ecosystem today, I’d replace it in a heartbeat if I got persistent, always on, mixed reality computing in a lightweight device that does not require typing/tapping + staring into various glowing rectangles to get what I need done.
