Because some podcasts (including mine) have both audio and video versions. Same thing with radio stations that release videos of their shows. I would count people who watch episodes as podcast listeners/viewers, but I get why people reject the thought of videos as podcasts too.

It’s weird but we have plenty of people that only watch our show on YT. I don’t get it but 🤷🏻

You’d be surprised. Some people want to watch the people talk to each other. Also YouTube is way better for discovery. I’ve caught myself watching clips like a normal video sometimes.

You don’t have a “video podcast,” you have a web series.

I listen to YouTube videos while doing other things if they’re mostly informative 🤷‍♂️ But I usually know when I can do that vs the need to actually them. It’s partly due to a lack of time.
