I’m confused. When I asked if we are transitioning to a pagan nation (you know, worshipping many gods) I was told that we have NEVER been a Christian nation. When I asked what is so offensive about Christians to the woke when we are a minority (2.5 billion out of 8) I’m told that our country is majority Christian. Which is it?

Both those things can be true at the same time. Christianity can be the most common religion and still not be a majority. It's like if you have a basket of fruit with singles of 8 kinds, but two apples. I know it still doesn't answer the question as to why some people you describe as woke may find Christianity offensive. I wonder if part of it may be that in some arguments, the issue is not the issue, and that can feel unnecessarily frustrating, and wasteful of time

The Constitution never mentions Christianity, God or Jesus Christ. There are 2 references to religion. Once in Article 2 regarding no religious tests for office holders, and again in the First Amendment preserving religious freedom. How. Is. This. Hard? Many of our founding fathers were deists, atheists, etc. You can find many writings proclaiming that the best way to preserve the purity of religion and the authority of government is to keep the two separate.

A Christian majority nation is one where the majority of people are Christian and even for secular society, Christian holidays, etc are the ones where banks and government offices are closes. A Christian nation-state would be one where not just the majority of the people are at least nominally Christian, but it is enshrined in the foundational legal documents of the country, often with systematically enshrined benefits for those in the Christian majority. There's no contradiction.

In my experience, people that claim to be “Christian” but then use “woke” in a derogatory way, typically care very little about Christ.

It's cute how you change which population number you use to force your point. Minority as compared to the world population, majority in the United States. Try being intellectually honest.

We’ve never been a Christian nation. We’ve always been a country with the freedom to worship (or not worship) as we please. Christians don’t like to worship in peace. They like to impose their beliefs on our country. Their quest to rule us doesn’t make us a Christian nation. It makes us a free country that greedy Christians want to conquer. “Woke” people (aka educated people), find the Christian self-righteous superiority complex and delusions of grandeur ignorant and obnoxious… not offensive.
