Um yeah I am absolutely not changing the way I speak because “men don’t do that”. I don’t want to be like a man. I am a woman, I say “I think”, “I feel”, “I believe” because I believe in the power of softer language that opens the door for more individual thoughtfulness. I do not believe in stating everything like a factual dictator for my own power. Language should open the door to feeling safe and understood, to be able to think for ourselves. Not command us.
