I don't agree I think you should know. It could be seen as wrong and challenged in court. Maybe have it opt in so you qualify for organ transplant if needed. If opt out, as default, then no transplant and basically a DNR.

It is absolutely not synonymous with a DNR. Literally everyone I know is a donor (in the UK you have to opt out, not in). Not a single one of them has been a DNR. It's a really bizarre concept that doctors won't try to help you if you're a donor. It just couldn't be further from the truth.
