I don't agree I think you should know. It could be seen as wrong and challenged in court. Maybe have it opt in so you qualify for organ transplant if needed. If opt out, as default, then no transplant and basically a DNR.

In many countries it is exactly this way. Everyone is a donor unless they specifically say no.

In my country it did that a year or two ago I believe, but I also carry a donor card.

In theory, I agree. Question: when does this start? How does a child opt out? For an adult, there are lots of opportunities, but for children, it’s not so easy.

At the moment we're still fighting for the right to bodily autonomy. As much as I support organ donation, I am not in favor of giving the government any more reason to think it owns my uterus.
