1. Most kids consume media, not enjoy it. Tiktok and “feeds” have created this world of mindless scrolling. They’re watching but not paying attention. I asked them if there are creators they come back to or enjoy seeing regularly and most of them couldn’t tell me who. Who was most popular? Kai Cenat! (The guy who Twitch live streams… I only know him because he interviewed Nicky and she did the everybody dance with him)

Welcome to threads. I read this and thought about how not having a phone has helped my kid develop her interests into her teen years. That and having access to a library a couple blocks from our house. Whenever she expressed an interest in a topic or asked us a question we didn’t know we’d hit up the library to find books to answer her never ending questions. We also invite her into our interests. She watches baseball with Pops and we love games. I wonder how she’d answer this in class.
