I don’t think I’ve ever told my story here, but a friend asked me a profound question, which makes want to share both the question and my story. After being in an unhappy marriage for over a decade, I found out my husband had been having an affair for 4 years. We were self employed and he traveled for work with her 4 days a week. She was beautiful and 15 years younger than me which made it hurt worse. I was 37 at the time. I was running the business and household with two small children 👇🏼

I had run our business because it was his dream. We’d started with nothing, and now I was watching the happy couple receive the rewards of our hard work. I was suffering mentally and physically exhausted. But I dug deep and kept going until 8 years later, and a year or two after I had sold my half of business and went all in in real estate.
