I forwarded all the free gmail to Google workspace and exclusively use workspace now. I pay for it. We gonna use it 😂

I use iCal for personal appointments and use Office for business appointments and sync them, so I don’t need to use my Google email for any calendar related stuff. It’s my random junk email kind of email 🤣

I share my personal calendar with my workspace calendar. My family and friends schedule getting together, and kids bdays on my personal. Almost everything else I do on my workspace calendar, but since it’s shared, I can toggle my personal calendar off and on to see when things overlap. I don’t have a system or way of preventing double booking per se, I just direct people to the email that fits our relationship. That works pretty well for me. So basically, I just maintain two calendars lol

So I made this executive decision this morning as my personal calendar I share with my bf for our events. I now share this with my business email so now I can see when I have a personal event. If the personal event interferes and blocks my calendar il duplicate the event so no one can book on my Google booking schedule 🤯 I also make sure I review my tasks and calendar for the week every Sunday

Personal goes on my gmail calendar, anything work-related goes on my work calendar. If I have a personal thing (like a doctor's appointment) on my gmail calendar, I invite my work email address so it shows up on both. I use Calendly, and that way it properly shows my availabiltiy. (I know Calendly can check multiple calendars, but not everything on my personal calendar actually affects my availabiltiy, since my husband also adds work things to a calendar we share).

Email: all personal to personal and work to work (and like health insurance to personal even tho it’s a work expense - that shit is personal 😆) basically what do I want to see if I take a week of work and take my email off my phone - what do I still want access to.

Calendar: I use google for personal, so it’s suuuuper easy to share my cal and my family cal with my work cal so my digital booking looks across all those for conflicts. I have a YT video on sharing iCal to google (it uses Zapier but once it’s set up it’s good to go! I’ll leave it below

Google Workspace for everything - simple, streamlined and cost effective

Um. I have no system and it’s a mess. Do not reccomend.

Everything syncs to my workspace calendar. I use my Gmail for personal stuff like doc appt reminders, school communications etc. The workspace is for business only.
