I have a question, if you run a marathon, do they pause your time for potty breaks or no?

Most have answered. What I learned my first marathon I succumbed to the over hydration pressure. On reflection I probably lost 9 minutes hitting the ports ( now that I do trail running only not an issue) anyway to meet my goal of sub four hours I learned what worked on hydration. 3:53 no pee breaks on 4th and final try.

No. You but your watch will tell you moving time v paused time. Also, the locks on the bog doors rarely work. Be braced for a surprise visitor. 🤣

Isn't a marathon just something like 3 hours of you're in decent shape? Doesn't sound long enough for a toilet break to be needed if you don't eat and drink a lot before. (For me a marathon would take at least 4 hours in total if I chop it up into 8-10 parts over a month or so, but I'm no runner.)

No. Your time is from when you cross the start to crossing the finish line. Whatever happens in between counts as your elapsed time
