This is like, super common for Mormon Utah women. Especially those who live near point of the mountain. I think many of these SAHMs crave the drama and attention because the Mormon church is quite uneventful if you’re a woman.

It doesn’t justify it but I feel like, culturally, this is the type of girl Utah raises. They’re never actually girls-girls and all secretly in competition. Even down to mothers and daughters. They’re so used to living this superficially “friendly” life that they’re shocked when called out on abhorrent behaviors. They don’t have coping skills because they’ve never actually lived in reality. Just skirting by on the way to a celestial they’re banking on.
