At what point does running become enjoyable? I’ve still yet to experience this enjoyment runners describe.

I have been running since 2016 and I’m still yet to find that enjoyment they are talking about. The only thing that makes me keep running is the that I love waking up early, go for a run, no music just me with my thoughts and listening to birds chirping and talking to myself.

Enjoy the breeze, sounds of the birds, landscape and fact that I can sing without being judged

I also hate(d) running! It takes about 2 months of 3-4 runs per week before I start to enjoy it. I would say focus more on feeling good to start than getting “better.” Run slow if you want. Take walk breaks. You can push yourself easier once you genuinely enjoy it!

Never for me. I tried for a long time, but always hated it. I climb, cycle, & strength train instead. All very fun!

When your ability to get oxygen to the muscles is not the prohibiting factor to the run — ie when you are no longer winded constantly. How long does that take? 🤷♂️ 6-8 weeks of consistent effort, but also never (if you are pushing to go faster).
