Now that I have a family/child, my photographic desires have changed significantly, and made me want primes much more; I don't really go out JUST to take photos anymore. It makes being present much easier shooting with a prime when we're out (in my opinion). But then when were doing things like packrafting, I want to use a standard zoom. It's still my ultimate goal to "let go" of the fear of missing shots, in favor of simplicity. The more I have, the more I feel I have to take with me.
