Yeah we do often refuse to "go out" in the nightclub sense. If we need sleep, don't like loud busy spaces and/or don't want to drink, nightclubs can be incredibly unappealing.

These spaces are so important but we need to go out of our way to make them. They take time, effort and sometimes money to set up. I think people dont really realise this. I’m lucky in that over the past couple of years, queer groups have sprung up in my city. We have a community and arts centre where there’s a weekly queer evening social. There’s a book club, a craft club, a football club. But none of it would have happened without someone to kick it all off, or a group to support them
