At Staples. My total was $2.11. I gave the cashier $10.11. She became confused and gave me back the 10. Held up the change and says this is all I need. I asked her if she wanted the two dollars and she said oh no I meant all I need is the 10 and gives me back the change. I said I gave you all of that so you could give me eight dollars because I don’t want change. She looked totally confused and still couldn’t figure out that it was eight dollars. She had to give back to me I fear for the future.

Not sure what she was thinking but she assumed I was trying to get her to give me more money and called security on me. I didn't bother explaining it any further and kept the $10. I made money and got my cookie for free. I considered it an inconvenience free.

Please be aware that not needing to do math is just another way to dumb down the population by the corporate overlords. The dumber we allow ourselves to be the more control they have.
