I’d do the same! I usually use “Can I just squeeze by you real quick?” I’ve never had anyone get weird about it and I’d never get weird if someone said it to me, that guy was being weird. Maybe I can squeeze weird in this statement just once more. Weird

Apart from the ogling, this is just 90% of the general public in my experience. People will have a whole sidewalk to walk on and brush right into you because they have no sense of or concern about the space they occupy or sharing it considerately.

If it makes you feel any better, I work as a bartender at a profession sports stadium. I had a man continually stand behind the bar where the opening was the other night. And when I said “hey friends you can’t be behind the bar” he literally said “I’m next to it and I have a DEA license” And I was like “no, you’re behind it and I need to get out and you’re blocking me in. Move now please.” Three more times that game this man was behind the bar. Where is that normal? Why.are.men.

Never assume that random strangers are neurotypical

I don’t know why I’m always afraid to say “excuse me”. Not sure if it’s just me being paranoid of coming across as rude or people seeming to not see it as polite. Which is funny cus it’s actually a polite way of saying you need to get by !lol 😂 as opposed to “you’re in my way” or “when ya moving” haha but who knows,some ppl have off days and others are just probably grumpy in general

I say “excuse me” as I’m reaching for whatever I need etc. Tbh I don’t wait for a response lol people shouldn’t be in the way.
