I thought it was going to be cheaper 🤔 I'm not gonna lie... I get why they charge it ... we all got earn a living .... but It's at her school and was expecting the cost to be near the same price to what her other classes are. It's just something she can't have a teacher for lol 😆 😂

I’m a piano teacher. The Musician’s Union rate is £40.50 per hour. Most teachers charge slightly under this, around £36-£38 per hour. £185 for 12 hours is £15.42 an hour. This is cheap.

I would say it's incredibly cheap. I don't know what qualifications the teacher has, but offering such a low price, only slightly higher than the minimum hourly rate, is unbelievable to me. As a music major, my past piano and violin lesson fees were £20 per hour at the beginner level. If you learn from a professor, it's normally more than £58.50 per hour in Taiwan, and I believe it would be even more expensive in the UK. 1/3

That’s what 15-16/lesson. Absolute bargain. My daughter’s teacher charges €48/lesson. Piano teachers gotta eat.

That is so cheap - I charge £80 an hour. Yes! Expertise is not cheap. This person is severely under charging.

I have one student who cant afford one lesson every week. But she really wants to learn. She is now having lesson every2 weeks, may be you can look for a piano teacher outside of the school and see if the teacher willing to do this. One lesson every two weeks is not ideal and the progress would be slow. But better than not learning.
