We’re importing huge numbers of people without building any houses. And we’re trapped into a handful of major cities with not much in between. Most of Australia and Canada are basically uninhabitable.

The recession didn’t happen in the US just because of a housing bubble, it was also widespread corruption and greed in an underregulated financial sector. Australia and Canada have far more robust financial systems and can handle more debt without major financial shocks. They also have a wealthier middle class.

As an online comment, it's hard to just say "it's unfair to blame immigrants" because the few RICHER immigrants/their corporations can single handedly import capital and crash, say, the property market. The surface, poorer immigrants and poorer citizens, fighting over minimum wage jobs is sth that richer classes don't have to care. Doesn't take a fan of Marx to say this. Immigrant societies typically are also peaceful enough to attract a lot of investment and boost property values.

It's called mass immigration.

Yeah we keep talking about it here in Canada but the US dominates headlines so it's easy to ignore what's happening in other places

America cause wars and benefits from it. Its Bootlick governments in Australia and Canada makes lives harder for people. Australia needs to be free out of American trap.
