Genuine question to all the ROP haters, what is your anger rooted in? What are you afraid is going to happen with Amazon (admittedly loosely) adapting the 2nd Age? I've seen a slew of comments/posts over the last couple years along the lines of "but but but it's not ACCURATE" "They're SHITTING ALL OVER THE LORE" and I just don't understand the issue Arwen didn't take Frodo to Rivendell Faramir didn't bring Frodo to Osgiliath Haldir didn't come to Helm's Deep Aragorn didn't kill the MOS

I understand the limitations of rights and all, but I was really hoping that the show would bring the grand scale of Middle Earth history. Instead a bunch of needlessly interconnected stories drag down a show that seems intent on being a prequel for the trilogy.

Page for page recreate the books and you'll end up with a very boring TV show. I think they forget how much the human imagination does the heavy lifting in a book. Is it perfect? No Is it a good adaption of Tolkien's lore? I think it does a job

People will always have criticisms towards big changes to source material, no matter what the story may be. I’m aware that this is a loose adaptation of the source material to be able to work well as a TV series. However, many things could’ve been done so much better to give it the justice it deserves. I’m a fan of the second season, but the ending was especially sloppy.
