After a while, the suddenly lights clicked on, and she enjoyed the heck out of it. Conformation classes had to be repetitive before the dog understood that nothing bad was going to happen, and she would be loaded with praise and liver. My now 2 yr old mixed shepherd was afraid of everything. Found in the woods. After 3 obedient AKC classes, she still goes bananas when she sees another dog. Extremely sweet and smart but wants it her way. Instructor said she was the most stubborn dog she had ever seen yet could do all the commands first time except “stay”. This is Emma. Failure at greyhound racing. Adopted at 2. Still has freeze response to any loud sound she can’t see source,, sellotape and Velcro sound even if seen and being left alone when daylight changes to night. But she can now walk on grass, ask for cuddles and do sudden happy zoomies. Much loved 8 year old.

This is very very interesting. Being familiar with confirmation classes I can see how they would help. Bravo to you for sticking with her💕
