Unpopular take: ALL keyboards should include the checkmark. I use is all the time, but have to hunt for it in special characters. The check could replace the ^ above the number 6. I mean who even uses ^ anyway? What even is this ^??? Check please!

What do you mean ^ is above 6? It is left from enter and shares a key with &. And many languages need those accented characters like â so ^ is needed. Also very mandatory when writing regex rules. Also with alt key you can easily write unicode checkmark character

Okay everyone but this begs the question, what is the least used symbol on the keyboard? Thoughts?

The new extended German Layout E1 does include it. Without removing ^. I just baught one and am waiting for it to be shippd. However, there are very limited options. https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/E1_(Tastaturbelegung) (Only German Wikipedia entry available.)

if you’re an iPhone user, you can set up text replacement. For example, I use M Dashes at work a lot, so my apple products are set to autocorrect “m-" with "—“.

I just write チェック and it turns up. Does that not happen with an English keyboard?

The "^" is called the caret symbol, and I use it often in spreadsheet formulas. It is a handy temporary placeholder in text manipulation formulas because it never appears naturally in the text I am trying to parse
