Stay home with your pup

How about a petsitter at your home? Maybe even with someone he knows. 💜💜

I hire someone to stay at my house with my dogs, but I have 4. My dogs (when I only had 2) loved being boarded. We found a place where they all stay in one room and someone with them 24 hours a day. Yard time every hour.

Your house is much safer for him. Boarding can go so wrong in an instant; you don't want to have any regrets. But I would not go to my Stepdaughter's house if my furbaby wasn't welcome. Think of it like this: if your child wasn't welcome would you go?

Why is he not neutered?

I would say find a boarding place that also does doggy daycare. That way you can drop him off for a few hours to see how he does in daycare. If he likes it, try boarding for one night to see how he does. I would also recommend to find a place that has cameras inside the kennel so you can watch him and know he’s fine to reassure yourself.

Don’t board him. Get a pet sitter in your home.

Is the place you are considering boarding also a doggie daycare? Maybe he can go a few times to play before you board him?

Is there a Petsmart boarding option near every ther your daughter’s place or yours? They do good training and can manage care for an intact puppy. (Other places may have rules) the cost may seem high but they provide reliable care.
