Eh not the reality for most plus sized women. Also it’s better for the guy to take lead. Some women just don’t care to experience the embarrassing rejection. And that’s completely fine. Has nothing to do with having “confidence”. Not fitting the conventional beauty standard comes with a certain level of self awareness

I see a lot of women "I shot my shot" its not only your weight people see. People are forgotting that there is more than weight to like and that you probably just had something else too that they didn't like. The moment I expected that I will never be skinny, I have literally 2 autoimmune diseases which one of them is Graves disease and should have made me skinny but even then I am still fat. I learned that as long as I am not in pain I really dont give a fxk what others think.

Im happy you have had great experience doing that. This year I lost 40 pounds, I was feeling myself at the gym. So I go to the morning manager to ask for his music recommendations ( he recommended a song during a previous gym visit. He also knows me by name since we had 1 training session few months prior). The purpose of me approaching him was to do a trial run of approaching a male and try and half flirt. His immediate response was to ask me if I was doing a survey. Never again.
