Y'all, no. Libraries, like the postal service, are not meant to be profitable. They are community based, not privately run corporations. Their purpose is access for all in regards to resources and information. They accept donations but are not money making businesses. You want coffee with your book, visit independently owned bookstores who have cafes.

If selling certain goods on the side raises funds that the library can use for its primary services, it reduces the tax burden required to operate. Or alternatively, the library can use those funds to offer additional kinds of services. Profit doesn't need to be the goal for it to be a smart idea.
