When I showed up, a cab was at the end of the driveway. He reluctantly got in my car, I asked why he called a cab in the first place when I promised I’d get him He said ‘I didn’t think you’d show up. No one has ever shown up for me like this before’ In that moment I realized he was being dead serious👇🏼

I dated a girl for a very short time (it stopped working because she moved to the other side of the world and we lost touch), she packed me lunch one time when I stopped by her place before going to the office and I was so touched. That day I cried as I ate her lunch cause it was one of the loveliest things any girl ever did out of her own good intentions.

I love this. I think I struggle with this though cause .. I’ve been there…. I’ve done the nice things … and then I always get something wrong and next thing ya know it’s my fault so … to do something like this would take me some time

When I first started dating my boyfriend I came over one day and brought him some snacks and he was so surprised and said no one had ever done that. I said NO ONE EVER BROUGHT YOU SURPRISE SNACKS poor thing

Although the story is touching, I would also not rely on someone promising me a lift to the airport the day after we met. You don’t know the person yet, so it would be silly to just rely on them and miss the plane. Regardless of the gender, it is also not typical to offer that you get up at 1:30am to give someone you don’t know a lift. I don’t think I’d do it, considering that the person can just call a cab.

My then coworker and now husband of 20+ years sent me and my kids lunch after I had emergency surgery. Everyone else, except for my sister-in-law was avoiding me because they didn't know what to say... I couldn't believe someone thought about me. We started dating about 7 months later.
