Does Black Women also include mixed-race folks like me? Sometimes I struggle with knowing when I am included… especially since I “pass” as white in most cases.

Just following here, as a white mom to a mixed daughter, who is sometimes struggling a bit with where she belongs. We are Danish and live in Denmark, where she is definitely seen as a black girl, but in her father's African home country, mixed kids are usually referred to as "white kids". But then again, the African people living here will see her as black. I've told her she belongs in both communities equally, but culturally she sees herself as a brown skinned Dane, I think.

The better question is how do YOU identify. Black women cannot help you solve your identity issues, confusion or racial identity conflict. We are on PTO for the next 4 years. 92% of us already contributed to the national group assignment. Lean in on other mixed women to assist you.

You are mixed race Not black for clarification purposes. Stick to your white side.

You are mixed, no one can take away your blackness or your whiteness but you, your dna is your dna & no one can argue with that. You are both; and personally as a mixed person I believe you can claim both. Don’t let anyone dictate your genetic identity when facts are facts

Why would it include you when you don't even want it to?

Sis, stop asking outsiders who you are and where you belong. Simply, tell us who you and what you stand for. If you are Black in Amerikkka, it's likely you have white presenting (even passing!)relatives. My grandmother could've passed but chose not to, while a few of her siblings did to obtain a "better" life. But passing comes at a very high price. I digress. My point is, define who you are and the rest will follow.
