To all of you who still wanna believe that America is the “greatest country in the world”. It’s a lie. It has always been a lie. There is no greatest country in the world. They’re just different places. I know that many Americans need to cling to this belief that they’re better than everybody else but you’re not. Especially not now. never have been. Sorry to burst your bubble of course WE 👋🏾have always known. Traveling & living abroad has definitely reinforced this fact for me. Travel Threads

If it was the greatest it would top the freedom list, best quality of life country, and best country to live in. It doesn't even go close for those. 15 小時內	Kevin Darnell kevin.d_o6	As a 29-year retired U.S. military officer who has been deployed on 6 of 7 continents and lived years overseas in Japan, Panama, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, I can assure you the U.S. is not the best country in the world. There are many that are worse (for now) but the U.S. would be a poor bet to make the top 15. Education, healthcare, racial/gender equality, security, rule of law, economy, natural beauty, etc. Other than military capability, we’re not the top of anything imo. Well, Walmarts.

Some folks just unnecessarily promote patriotism to the nth degree. I’m Canadian. Great country and I wouldn’t want to necessarily live anywhere else but it has its own unique issues.
