I'm a bit disheartened tonight. I got refused twice for upcoming faires. I shouldn't be sad, they said what I do is pretty but not what they are looking for. The issue is, I often get this answer. I do not fit anywhere. It just throws back in my face what I've gone through my whole life: my mind doesn't fit anywhere. It's not that it's ugly or wrong, it just is different. Most of my customers are not french. I do think people here just don't like my style, that's all 🤷🏼‍♀️ ArtistsOnThreads

For every turn down let it make you stronger.learn from each one and write down what happened, what was said between you and the employee. And then have a good look and write down in a seperate page or book what you see and how you can change it next time tweak it each time learn from your mistakes and become stronger and also give a little prayer

Even when I got in, the men on the committee objected and lurked around my booth. And they saw me sell out the first weekend. They saw people from 4 states away come just to buy one of my little dragons. I think too many artists fail because we let a few people confirm our worst insecurities. Be stubborn. Be confident.
