I’m more annoyed than I should be about this. T-shirts were designed for a work event, and then we were sent a link to order them. As a woman, this is always a tricky situation. There are many ways a shirt can be sized for women and sometimes a large feels like an extra small. I decided to skip the stress and order a men’s medium. I was sent a women’s medium in the baby tee cut. Ugh number 1. I decided to be bold and respond to the confirmation email. (1/2)

20 小時內	Gemma Blackburn gemmabbooks	I always cringe at the mandatory shirt orders. In my experience, they always order “unisex” shirts which are just men’s shirts rebranded. So like, yay! Do I want a shirt that’s tight around my bust and hips, or one that fits like a balloon with a crew neck that’ll give me sensory hell all day? Why not just give us t-shirt transfers we can apply to a blank shirt of our choice?

Most of my business is doing custom shirts for groups (usually scouts and sports teams so multi-age/gender) and I try to always include a photo of the manufacturer size specs for every piece. Most reputable apparel brands are pretty consistent with their measurements, but I have had some wild outliers 😳 - that is where the personal touch of a small biz helps, I can tell if a small is smaller than it should be.

When I show up to packet pickup 9/10 times I’m handed a woman’s small because they look at me and not the slip and make an assumption. This recently happened and I didn’t catch it at the expo so now I have to spend $6 for them to fix THEIR mistake and send me a new shirt.
