I have no problem with people disagreeing with me but when you say that losing weight in perimenopause “is not really that hard” you better know what you are talking about 😂

Ha! I have so many health problems it’s not even possible to lose willing atm! No amount of exercise ( which I physically can’t do atm) or diet will help. I have a massive hernia from birthing toddlers and hopefully once that’s sorted I will be able to begin to do gentle exercise again. Not to mention the arthritis!

I told my doctor I was eating 1 meal a day and that's salad with some chicken or egg in it and weight up 5 lbs from when I was constantly working out. Not a good life.

Exactly. I have tried -walking 10k steps at a speed of about 5 Kph every day for WEEKS! - eating three low-salt small meals (with fresh veggies, all home cooked ) - fruit for snacks - drinking lots of water - no large intestine at all (from surgery years ago, so ‘speedy’ metabolism) and I’m putting ON weight . Don’t give me bs about ‘just do this’ because losing weight in menopause is stupidly hard. And no, I was not gaining muscle.

It's so hard! I eat healthy (80% of the time),lift weights, run and get my steps in. I'm over one stone heavier than I was 10 years ago. I'm probably the fittest I've ever been but the fattest 🙈😬

My doc told me it’s not unusual for menopausal women to put on weight. Guess she would have broader knowledge that the ones leaping on the ‘just eat less, exercise more’ bandwagon 😳
